Nail Art: Roses

HAPPY SATURDAY!

Not so happy for me, since I start classes again on Monday. Ugh. Less time for nails. But I've been swatching and doing nail art non stop so I should be set for a little while.

Anyway, here is a cute little nail art I did recently.

Day 9: Inspired by your location

So this was inspired by your location.

I did my bedroom!

My walls are a light lavender color. On part of the wall, I have a cherry blossom tree decal in deep violet purple and dark brown.

So on my nails I have attempted to re-create that look.

My base was Finger Paint's Silver Sculpture. The flowers were Sally Hansen Diamond Strength's All Aglow. The branches and bird like thing was Orly's Buried Alive.

Day 8: Polka Dots

This day was polka dots.

I wanted to do something a bit different, so I did a cluster gradient of polka dots.

I started with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength's Something Blue as my base. For the polka dots, I used Finger Paint's Black Expressionism, then Milani's Silver Dazzle, and finally Essence's Grey-t to Be Here.

I thought The end result was lovely.

Day 7: Black and White

OMG! I am sorry for the onslaught of late posts! But here is the start!

So this was for black and white day. I saw this cute picture and I knew I had to do it at some point.

It is a pretty simple design, but absolutely cute.

I used Finger Paint's Black Expressionism as my base and Island Girl's Pineapple Plantation.

Day 6: Animal

Ah! Sorry for posting so late!!

So today is animal day! I couldn't get inspired by any animal really... so instead I just copied an oldie but goody from the last 31 day challenge. I did the leopard spots again but using a blue theme.

So on to the colors! I used Orly's Aspen as my base. The spots were Sation's Blue Suede and Finger Paint's Black Expressionism.

Day 2: Flag Nails

Hey everybody!

Today I have some lovely flag nails.

I chose Niger for today's challenge because, of a project I had in high school.

I used Island Girl's Pineapple Plantation as my base. Sally Hansen Diamond Strength's Moonlit Dance and Finger Paint's Sketch N Etch were the stripes. I used a dotting tool for the center.

Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial

So I followed a tutorial today.

The tutorial I used can be found here. I thought it was super cute.

I used Claire's Cosmic from the Starstruck collection as my base.I absolutely love this collection. Anyway, for the penguin part I used Finger Paint's Silver Sculpture. I used Sinful Colors Nail Art's Time Off for the Eyes and Sally Hansen Extreme Wear's Mellow Yellow for the nose and feet.

Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural

Only 2 more days left!! I'm so sad :(

Anyway, today is the supernatural day. And i did slime. I thought that the slime/ecktoplasm/ghost guts was pretty supernatural.

I used as Wet N Wild's Buffy the Violet Slayer as my base. I put Island Girl's Pineapple Plantation as the tips and the slimey drips. I put Finger Paint's Guggen I'm Lime over the white to make it look slimey.

Fashion is pretty sometimes.

I have a dress in my closet that I bought from Aeropostale a few months ago. Its purple with tiny lavender and magenta hearts.

Day 23: Inspired by a Movie

Okay, So I was going to do Hunger Games as my movie inspiration. However, due to the fact that my ability to draw is non-existent, it did not happen. My poor mockingjay looked like roadkill.

I was very lost as to what I should do for my nails. But then I saw this awesome picture (click it!) and knew I had to recreate it.

So my movie inspiration is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The scene portrayed on my nails is when Harry and Voldemort's wands clashed in the graveyard. This also happens again at Deathly Hallows Part 2.
I used Finger Paint's Black Expressionism as my base. And the wand ray colors are combinations of Sinful Colors Nail Art's Me First with Worn Before and Orange Alert with Time 2 Go. The explosion part is Sation's Lemon Pearl mixed with the Sinful Colors.

Day 21: Inspired by a Color

So today we're going to watch Hotel Transylvania. I'm excited.

As for today's theme, I looked through my polishes and found one that I thought would be real cute. For my base I used China Glaze's Strawberry Fields. I bet you can see where this is going. For the little strawberry leaves, I used Finger Paint's Sketch N Etch. And finally For the seeds I used Essie's No Place Like Chrome.

I think this was adorable!

I figured out halfway through that the less "seeds" there are, the better. Whoops. Oh well, lessons learned.

Super cute today. :) Well off to watch the movie with my sister.

Do you guys have a favorite fruity nail art?

See you tomorrow!!

Day 16: Tribal

So today is tribal.

Ugh. So this isn't my favorite day. I was dreading this design because tribal is not something I do well. Anyway, today I used Finger Paint's Guggen I'm Lime as my base. For the tribal design I used CÃCEE's Arvis. While the color combination was cute, the design was not.

Ugh, It looks terrible... I do not have steady hands...

Well, at least today is done. No more tribal. Tomorrow is glitter and I'm so excited for it!!
I love shiny things.
See you guys for a better tomorrow. :)

Day 13: Animal Print

Rawr!

Today I sported a lovely leopard/cheetah spot print while in L.A. today. I also made them pink for breast cancer awareness month. I used Island Girl's Oahu Magic as my base. It is a pretty pale pink with a slight shimmer. For the spots I used Essie's Bachelorette Bash and Finger Paint's Black Expressionism.

I'm sorry for blurry pics... Tomorrow I'll replace the pics when the lighting is better. I just got home from L.A. so yeah. Anyway, isn't the design cute?  The bright pink looks so cute against the paler one.

I made it with an hour to spare. Today is animal print and it was super cute and super easy. I loved it.

Whats your guys favorite animal print?

See you tomorrow! I'll post pics of the awesome nail polish place tomorrow. :)

EDIT: Fixed the picture kinda sorta. Looks better now.

Day 9: Rainbow

There's a rainbow today!

I keep looking at my fingers and thinking, "a rainbow threw up on them."  Haha. I did a bit of nail art today. I used this tutorial that I found on YouTube. I used a lot of colors on this. As a base I used the new Sally Hansen Lustre Shine, Moonstone. As for the rainbow lines I used Butter London's Big Smoke, Essie's Fishnet Stockings, Hard Candy's Sweet P, Sally Hansen Extreme Wear's Mellow Yellow, Finger Paint's Tangerine Tint, and Wet N Wild's Buffy the Violet Slayer.

Phew! That was a lot! Anyway, here are the pictures of the rainbow puke. (This post is a little picture heavy.)

This came out beautiful. And this manicure was the longest one ever. waiting for those colors to get the right consistency took FOREVER. Anyway it was well worth it.

I couldn't fit all the names of them in one picture so I had to split them up.

I think the next time I do this manicure, I'll stick to one or two colors. What do you guys think?

Don't be shy and leave a comment. :)

See you tomorrow for gradient.

Day 7: Black and White

Black and white! This is such a classic color combination. I was gonna use my Konad stamps for today, but I couldn't find the rubber stamp. Oh well, a good friend suggested I do a dalmatian dog print. So I did!
I used Island Girl's Pineapple Express and Finger Paint's Black Expressionism.

Cute huh? The little paw prints came out wonderful! However, the spots... made me think of cows. Yup. Cows.

So? What do you think? Do these look more like cows or dalmatian prints?

Haha see you tomorrow! It's metallic day. Now time for me to do my homework and my nail for tomorrow.

Day 4: Green

Green!
Green is such a fresh color. I'm glad to be wearing it today!

Evening everyone! I hope your all doing well. So today I had green. I used Finger Paints Sketch N Etch for my base green.

I just love this type of deep forest green. Its so lovely. There's a small shimmer to it that gives it a little extra shine. I keep feeling like it was a bit plain though. And what solves that problem? GLITTER.

Ahhh... Much better. So I layered Claire's Blast Off over Sketch and was greeted by this lovely spring green. I kinda want to wear it forever, but I can't.

So this is green. Wasn't it lovely? I absolutely loved this combo. Did you?

See you tomorrow for blue! Have a nice night!
