Swatch: Lovely Moon Collection

*BEWARE: PICTURE HEAVY POST*

So for Christmas this year I received The Lovely Moon Collection from my amazing parents.

The Lovely Moon Collection is a collection from a lovely indie blogger Maggy of Daily Lacquer.

This is her Etsy shop.
This is her blog.
This is her Facebook.

I definitely recommend checking out both.

Anyway, The Lovely Moon collection is based on the most awesome old school anime, Sailor Moon. I love Sailor Moon. I grew up with her as my role model. FYI, the Sailor Moon displayed in the English dub is a ditz. The Sailor Moon in the original graphic novels is THE most bad-ass, strong, caring, eccentric woman. Each bottle is jam-packed with glitter shapes of hearts, crescent moons, stars, bars, hexes, and tiny things.

SO MUCH GLITTER.

All swatches are 2 coats with no topcoat.

This is Usagi! In this pic, I have her layered over Essie's No Place Like Chrome. Usagi is definitely on of  my favorites. The glitter in this came out in such variety that I didn't have to fish them out. So much glitter came out that it was like a glitter party.

This is Moon Kitty. This polish represents Luna. She is Sailor Moon's guide. Moon kitty is an exclusive that you can get when you buy the whole collection. This purple beauty covers so perfectly in 2 coats with an amazing amount of glitter to boot. The purple in this has a light metallic sheen in it. This was absolutely beautiful. Everyone needs a purple like this in their possession.

This is Ami. She is one of the more popular ones floating around on the other blogs. She has a lovely sky blue base and is packed with dark, silver and light blue glitters. This is lovely. Just plain lovey. It also covers beautifully in 2 coats.

This is Rei! Rei is another popular one. In this photo I have her layered over Island Girl's Oahu Magic. Rei has a fiery personality and this bottle is jam packed with lots of fire. Glitter fire that is! It has a lovely array of red, purple, gold, and silver glitters in a variety of shapes. Overall, this polish had also great glitter coverage. I did have to fish a little for a red star. I didn't realize there were some there till it was on my nail! Oh well! It still is beautiful with or without the stars!

This is Makoto. She is also layered over the same polish as Rei. This is a lovely mix of pink and green glitters. I really loved how this one turned out. This colors of this polish give it a very feminine feel. And if you are familiar with the graphic novels, you'll know that Makoto, although the fighter of the group, is the most feminine. This is also a super must have for those of you who want to buy the individual bottles.

And finally we have Minako! This was the polish I was pretty iffy about. I will say, this one photographs really well! in the picture it is this beautiful vivid orange with bright blues. Minako cover very well in the standard 2 coats. In person, the orange is more on the pastel side. It still is very very beautiful, but the pastel orange does not compliment *MY* skin tone as well as the orange in the picture. I think Minako is suited for those who are a little more daring. It is a lovely color and I am happy that I have it.

Whew! That is a lot! Sorry for the terrible lighting... I haven't had time to do pictures in the natural sunlight. Tomorrow I'll cover the other 2 Sailor Moon polishes. Those 2 were apart of their own mini collection, but still in with the Sailor Moon theme.

Overall, I *DEFINITELY* recommend that you pick these up. They are just too beautiful to resist!

So? What do you guys think? Will you be picking up one of these? Do you have a favorite? Let me know!
